An exceptional opportunity exists within one of Gauteng’s most respected and well-established motor groups. Their premium brand dealership in Centurion is now seeking a dynamic and accomplished New Car Sales Manager to lead from the front. This is not just a management role — it is a strategic leadership position within a high-performance, premium retail environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for driving the strategic growth of the New Vehicle Department, while ensuring strict adherence to both Dealership and OEM premium standards. The successful candidate will lead, mentor, and inspire a high-calibre sales team to consistently deliver a world-class customer experience while achieving and exceeding monthly unit, profit, and Value-Added Product (VAP) targets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, develop, and motivate Sales Executives to maintain a polished, professional, and knowledgeable sales floor.
- Foster a performance-driven culture aligned with premium brand values.
Sales & Market Strategy
- Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing initiatives tailored to the Centurion/Pretoria premium market.
- Drive lead management excellence and conversion optimisation.
Performance & Pipeline Management
- Daily tracking of sales pipelines, forecasting, and conversion ratios.
- Ensure monthly targets are consistently achieved or exceeded.
Stock & Brand Management
- Oversee vehicle ordering, inventory control, aging management, and showroom merchandising in line with strict Corporate Identity standards.
Customer Experience Excellence
- Maintain outstanding Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
- Professionally manage escalations and ensure seamless handovers and vehicle deliveries.
Financial Accountability
- Manage departmental budgets, gross profit margins, and expense control on every deal.
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience as a New Vehicle Sales Manager within a franchised dealership.
- Experience with a premium/luxury brand such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Lexus, or Land Rover will be highly advantageous.
- Grade 12 (Matric) essential; tertiary qualification in Business or Marketing advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of dealership systems such as Kerridge, Sales Force, CMS, Evolve, or Automate.
- Valid, unendorsed South African Driver’s License.
- High emotional intelligence, executive presence, and the ability to engage confidently with discerning clientele.
